Wednesday 9:30am – 11:30am

Wednesday 7:00pm – 9:00pm // 9:00pm – 11:00pm (alternating weeks)
With 35-40 teams, our Men’s League provides a great balance between recreation and competition. Some players have years of experience, while others are just starting to develop their game. Each night operates as its own draw schedule, so play one night or both. Get to know the other teams in the league with a round robin draw through mid-January, then play with teams of similar level for the final run to the A and B playoffs. Also, enjoy a few fun nights with skins games and refreshments through the year.

Tuesday 9:00am – 11:00am and Friday 9:30am – 11:30am
This is one league, curling two days a week, open to men 55+.

Masters League – Thursday 9:00am – 11:00am and 11:15am – 1:15pm
The Masters League operates as two separate leagues – one pre-Christmas: The Greater Victoria Masters Super League; and the other post-Christmas: The Victoria Senior Select League. For Senior Male (55+) curlers that want a more competitive daytime league while still maintaining the social aspect of curling. Entry is normally by team, individual players will be assisted in finding teams with openings.
GVMSL runs from the start of the curling season until Christmas break, with the schedule working around outside events. It is composed of teams from the various Victoria area curling clubs that want to develop and maintain a competitive edge in preparation for bonspiels and playdowns.
VSSL runs from after the Christmas/New Years break to the end of the curling season, usually a shorter schedule than the GVMSL. The VSSL has similar makeup and operation as the earlier league but provides an opportunity for teams to continue playing together or to try a new line-up or members, and new teams that want to form.

Super League – Tuesday 7:00pm – 9:00pm
The Victoria Super League of Curling has been in existence for over 25 years. The 16 – 24 team league provides an opportunity for experienced teams to prepare for competitive events, and for young and/or developing teams to hone their skills. Many of the league participants compete in playdowns, while many appreciate the opportunity to participate in competitive games. Several of the league participants have grown from the junior program and have been successful at the national and world levels. Format is round-robin with a playoff component.

Commercial League -Wednesday 1:00pm – 3:00pm
The Wednesday Commercial League at the VCC is the oldest league still active – at least as far as we could research. The trophy, donated by McGill & Orme, lists the first league champions dated 1959-60, but we suspect the league started some years prior… Back in the 1950’s and 60’s, retail stores and shops closed on Wednesday afternoons. What a good time to go curling! Shopkeepers and clerks took to curling and formed the Wednesday Commercial League. It was a mixed league and the trophy bears the names of 57 teams.
Changing demographics, economic and various factors, made it necessary to change the league to a Mixed Open format in recent years. This concept has to have at least one curler on the team be of the opposite sex. This makes for some interesting games in our social and mildly competitive league. This league is holding steady at 12 teams with room for 2 more. Sign up as a single or a team and let’s have some fun!!

Thursday 6:30pm – 8:30pm or 8:45pm – 10:45pm
The Thursday league is an “open” league operating opposite the “Broom Under Water” Mixed League, alternating early and late draws.

TGIF – Friday 4:30pm – 6:30pm

Open to all levels, we encourage rookies and those with experience. Teams are drafted at the beginning of the season by skill level – join as a single, or with a friend.

Britannia League – Sunday 10:00am – 12:00pm
This is a fun league for curlers of all ages and abilities. Teams are selected at the beginning of the year via a draft – a great way to meet new people! Our first goal is having fun, and we manage to play some pretty good curling while we’re at it. There are no forfeits – everyone will get a chance to play a game every day.
