Part-time seasonal: September through mid-April, (32 weeks) 20-25 hours per week on average
Wage is $25/hour
This position will require set hours through the week, with high-demand times (September registration, March bonspiel season) calling for increased working time. Hours are flexible within the requirements of the position.
The Victoria Curling Club Office Administrator will be responsible for the organizational flow of the office. Working with the General Manager, the O.A. will ensure that membership data is managed effectively, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable are entered in a timely manner, and correspondence with the Club is delegated and responded to efficiently.
The position is forward-facing and customer service oriented, in all facets of communication: in person, email and phone.
The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, have an attention to detail, and interpersonal skills. Bookkeeping knowledge and experience with QuickBooks, including receipts, invoices, basic journal entries, and reconciliation of accounts is important. In addition, strong computer skills, particularly in the MS Office suite, but extending to web-based applications including POS systems, are necessary. Multitasking is often required, and during busy periods, occasionally the scope of work will fall outside of office duties.
Experience working with and within not-for-profit organizations is an asset. Curling experience is not required, although knowledge of the game is advantageous.
