Juniors and Schools
Youth aged 8-14 can enroll in our 16 week Junior Program, being taught the fundamentals of the game in a fun environment led by 2x World Junior Champion Sterling Middleton.
High School curling is available through area schools participating in the Optimist HS League, running through the first semester of 2022-23.
Middle and High School teachers can bring a class to the VCC for an hour’s worth of curling fun – everyone can throw stones at houses!
Post secondary students have a home on Sunday nights with our UVic and College Club night.

Can’t commit to an 8 week program? We can help!
We do private and corporate rentals for fun or team building – again, with all equipment you need, and instruction.
Watch this space or our social media for occasional “drop in” nights on Saturdays at the Club. It’s date night come to the curling club! We’ll have live music upstairs, curling downstairs. Come one, come all… Think of it like a frosty bowling alley… We’re expecting these drop ins to be a great mix of regular curlers – some amazing, some not, and no one caring either way – and people who’ve never played before…maybe like YOU!
Adult Learn To Curl
You’re an adult who hasn’t curled before, but watch on TV and think to yourself, “I would like to try this”. We offer two 8 week courses that take you from first stepping on the ice, to an overview of gameplay strategy and the finer points of the game.
Curling is a “game for life”, but it’s also one that can be taken up at anytime! We’ve taught new curlers of all ages the game on the ice with the yelling and the sweeping. From the ALTC program, you’ll be able to move into many of our leagues and take up the game recreationally.
Available Leagues
The logical first step for a graduate of our Adult Learn To Curl program is to check out our Rookie League, also on Sunday nights. But, there are a number of leagues that are welcoming to rookies of all stripes, whether they’ve gone through the ALTC or not. Particularly, check out our “Draft” style leagues, which will allow you to sign up as a single, and be placed on a team – our League page has information about how competitive any given league is, and we can help you pick out one that will work for you.
This year, if you are referred to join a league by another VCC member, there is either a pro-shop certificate or a 1 hour lesson with our Club Pro waiting for you.
