The Victoria Curling Club (VCC) has been the home of curling in BC’s capital city since 1949. Victoria’s vibrant curling community depends on VCC’s facility to provide the best curling ice in BC, and facilitate the camaraderie that is so integral to curling
Victoria needs more welcoming and inclusive spaces where people can gather for community events such as live music, trade shows, and festivals.
The Victoria Curling Club is the home of curling excellence, but people know the building is also an important venue for community events like the Times Colonist Book Sale, as well as for meetings, festivals, private parties and other gatherings.
VCC is more than a curling club, it is a community connector, welcoming individuals of all ages and backgrounds.
The ageing building needs extensive renovations to make it more accessible, welcoming and inclusive for the community, in addition to modernizing its arena surface and equipment to ensure it remains safe and versatile.
The rejuvenation project will incorporate significant energy reduction elements and environmental improvements.
Members of the Victoria Curling Club have launched a multi-million-dollar fundraising campaign to raise funds in support of these renovations, so that their curling facility can continue to play a role as a welcoming and inclusive venue for the broader community.
