The Victoria Curling Club was incorporated as a not-for-profit society of BC on November 20, 1949. A lease on the land was obtained through the City of Victoria in June 1950. Through considerable efforts of a dedicated few, funds were raised through the sale of debentures and a building was constructed and opened in February of 1953; since that time, it has been in continuous operation.
VCC is proud of the impressive achievements that its members have accomplished since the facility opened – numerous provincial champions; national champions; world champions; and coaches with Olympic experience have all stepped on the Club’s ice. In 1958 the building played host to the MacDonald Brier. *more history and archival information will be added below in the fall.
